The Vango Aether Air 600xl is new to the range for 2021, part of the Earth Collection of tents, designed from single-use recycled plastics. Transforming plastic bottles into your next tent, the Aether 600xl is made from 221 plastic bottles. The Aether is based on the design of the Capri tent, offering a tried and tested design. The tent is a hybrid design, using mainly the Airbeam design, with a fibreglass front pole for the porch area. Furthermore, the Earth collection is packed full of great features, such as a sewn-in groundsheet, and two entry points, complete with mesh panels, which help to create a better airflow through the tent, to reduce condensation. The tent offers a three zone design, which has the Nightfall (darker) sleeping compartments, and a pre-attached front extension for a rain-safe front door, or a lovely place to sit and relax of an evening, or a suitable area for cooking if the weather goes awry.

TBS II Tension Band System – helps stabilise the tent in windier conditions, by creating a triangular structure inside the tent.

Fully Sewn-in Groundsheet – Increases the comfort of the tent, as the groundsheet is fully attached to the flysheet by use of an external storm skirt to provide all round protection.

Flexible Door Step- The side door and front door drop down, which creates an easier access – ideal for prams and wheel chairs. King Pole Door- the doors have loops, and king poles (purchased seperately) can be used to create a canopy to the side of the tent. Air-Speed Valve- a tried and tested Valve – easy to inflate and deflate your tent beams. Vango AirZone- High and low level ventiliation panels create a comfortable flow of air through the tent, helping to reduce the effects of condensation. Fabric Denier	70 Denier (Polyester) DetailsDenier – a measurement used to determine the thickness of the tent flysheet. It relates to the fibre thickness, or thread counts used. The thicker the fabric, generally the stronger, and more durable the fabric will be. The denier really reflects the lifetime to be expected of the tent, and how quickly, it will be affected by UV Degradation.
Flysheet Fabric	70 Denier Sentinel Eco fabric – made with recycled plastic DetailsPolyester – a synthetic fibre, made from polymer units to create a textile fabric. Polyester is the most popular fabric for tent manufacturing, as it is durable, reliable and lighter in weight. Polyester does not breathe though, which creates more condensation. Polycotton – a blend of polyester and cotton, primarily cotton (usually around 65% cotton / 35% polyester split). Polycotton is a more natural fabric for camping, as it is breathable, far more durable material, reducing the effects of condensation. Offers greater versatility in hot and cold climates. Ripstop Nylon – a durable material used in tents which is strong and repairable due to its Ripstop properties.

Hydrostatic Head (mm)	3000 DetailsHydrostatic Head (Tents) – a waterproof rating for technical fabrics measured in mm. The higher the rating the more waterproof the fabric is. A rating of 1500mm is deemed waterproof, but on a tent, look for a rating of 3000 or higher. Measured by the height of water column a fabric weave can take before it begins to “sweat”. “Polycotton” tents will not have a Hydrostatic Head level, as they are not treated for waterproofing.
